BENEFITS

Eliminate Snow Removal Costs, Provide Safer, Cleaner Facilities

No more snow plowing/shoveling and associated labor.  No more salt spreading with its unsightly stains and damage to concrete.  Reduced liability from icy slips and falls. With snow melting rather than snow removal, Snow Technologies makes it easy for your customers by providing a complete, dependable, automatic and maintenance-free system that saves money - and problems - in the long run.

Snow Melting Experts

Snow Tech’s staff offers considerable experience in the engineering, manufacturing and installation supervision of hydronic snow melting equipment. We’ve handled all types of applications for a wide range of customers. We provide a durable, long-life system that has been proven in the field.

 Designed For The Application

Since every installation has its own unique requirements, we custom design each system to meet those particular needs.  Using our computer aided design system, we quickly develop a snow melting system tailored to provide maximum efficiency.

A Simple Reliable System

The Snow Tech snow melting system consists of a heat transfer package and piping distribution network. The heat transfer package circulates heated antifreeze through the installed network of plastic pipes. When any of the various snow detectors available senses snowfall, the system goes into operation automatically.  With this simple concept, your customer gets fast, effective snow melting.

The piping system features a two-level heating circuit designed to eliminate stress points. For on-grade applications, the exterior supply and return main lines are buried in sand below the concrete to provide freedom from any external stress.  For structural applications, such as bridges, the main lines are anchored below the concrete surface. The heating circuits themselves are embedded in the concrete and, since they do not pass through any expansion joints, are free from external stress.

Flexible plastic ties secure the plastic piping to reinforcing steel grids installed in the concrete. The use of these corrosion-free nylon ties and polyethylene piping assures long, trouble free service.
